/\ i agree with you in the newspapers i seen some people ram raided a modified garage stolen to keys to a R33, Sunny Pulsar and a RX7. they split up and all managed to get away. The police chased the R33 lol and on a dual carriageway the R33 hit top speeds and that was like 200+. the R33 covered 22 miles in like 8 or 9 mins if i remember correctly

What a bloody good idea! lol never though of that! and being imports if might be easily for them to disappear..

er.. only joking of course

165 mph

EDIT:

On another note- I live n SWINDON and the Swindon police force benefit from the speed cameras on the M4. I have seen umarked lexus 250s- never seen a normal one- just police ones, X5s and a few other un marked beemer coupes, Jags, Honda type Rs, lexus GS300s- unmarked and marked, subarus and I've heard talk of a lancer. Know you know where the money for your speeding tickets is going...

One police force has or used to have an Escort Cosworth, seen it on the TV a few times on the police programmes. Think it was all marked up with the reflective stickers and light bar on roof. They go for all sorts now don't they, wont be surprised if one police force ends up buying a ferrari or porsche in the future.

It says north yorkshire replaced their Cosworths with Imprezas in 2000, AND I have seen that police smart car loads of times! (Police page 11)

i seen that one where there was 3 modded cars,

you can just imagine the police guy in charge of picking cars

hmmmm there is alot of gun and knife crime in the uk, oh well who cares i want to get me self some nice cars for the team which i couldnt afford out of work i know how abouttttttttt

a brand new mercedes,
evo or scooby oh damn i need to have the alloys aswell and maybe a cold air feed for good measures!!!

if police needed something quick, then go by banged up scoobys or have all the police on super bikes, no need like in our town to go buy brand new mercedes and now they even have merc and porch 4x4s what the hell is a 4x4 gonna chase its petrol will run out in 5minutes flat never mind not been able to chase people down small roads PATHETIC!!

Just looked at some of there cars then all i can say is ridiculous

the scoobys and evo's you are all talking about have also got engine upgrades by prodrive! up in edin they use undercover merc, bmw, ford st, scenic and was at a bike show and they had two fireblades with livery saying "policeblade" and police are not supposed to egg you on to race to then get pulled over..but they do

Yeah. The other day on the M6 I think, I drove past a traffic police station (didn't even know they existed, their own stations!) right next to the motorway that had about 6 or 7 4x4s outside it, all made by Landrover (a few Discovery 3s, some full-size Range Rovers, and an actually dead-cool looking liveried Range Rover Sport). There must have been hundreds of thousands of £££s worth there, I'm not against 4x4s but why do they need 'em on the motorway? unless 'cos it's so busy they don't need the pace, so use the advantages of a bulky, high visibility vehicle with a better view of the road? They could use some of the bloody fast vans you get these days instead though...

I heard that Glasgow traffic cops used to use AMG55 Mercs, anyone around there know if that's true? With 500bhp they should have the kinda straight line, high speed grunt that would allow them to chase down pretty much anything, including some of those that use two wheels...

I don't think, from what I heard from a bristol copper, that police cars are actually allowed to chase motorcyclists, due to the risk of them causing an accident, and killing/maiming the motorcyclist, risk of lawsuits etc.

The cops cars that Kelv originally started talkin about, i found out yesterday that there is 1 marked octavia 2 unmarked and 4 unmarked focus st's (new shape 06 reg), they r totally blitzing our town for something but i dunno what, its not speeding, or tax and insurance, something other than them
