You're both very wrong. It has 98bhp the VTR(face lift), the same as an SRi.
The VTR weighs 920kg, where as the SRi weighs 1085kg.
Same power, with 165kg difference. And I hate to quote parkers at you and be slagged off for it, but the difference is fairly big so it's allowed.

1.6i VTR 3d (99)_______9.1 s 120 mph 100 bhp

They are. It's the facelifted 98bhp ones that are quick.
Well in this case i will make my own.:lol:
I gotta say for a 1.4 my car does accelerate and handle quite well, i have beaten a rover 75 mgzt, golf gti mark 3, bmw 318. Probably coz they were Sh** drivers.
I know i have a pulsar GTiR rep but i havent fitted a genuine bonnet cus it would be like fitting a GTiR badge on it, the bonnet atm is only thing that says its still a 1.4 and i like it lol
If you can get teh gti badge easy, sell it on
