My Shit Quote on a 2.0l GTi

TBH, insurance madness doesnt just stop once you get full NCB and into your late twenties...forinstance it is cheaper for me to insure a GTiR than to get a stainless system and cams onto my Gti!

I just quoted on a Skyline R33 GTR in Midnight Purple with Nismo Z-Tune Wheels, Kakimoto rear box, D2 Coilovers and 300bhp. I got a quote of 840 pounds fully comp with a courtesy car and protected no claims for life.

My name is Mr Average, I am married with 2 childeren and have a dog called Dave.

Fuck me, its all circumstanitial, a 4k qoute is a politically correct 'fuck off' from an insurer who dosn't want to place your details in a column next to the letters GTI.

I`ve always thought that its a shame that younger people get *spanked* for thier insurance. Especially when there are so many pensioners around that pay very little, yet display a frightening lack of awareness on the roads.

YES! an insurance thread!

rock and roll! I'd say it's been a good 6 days since the last one when everyone wheeled out their quotes then too.

Kelv just shit in it with pictures like me and kurt!

endsleigh

fukin terds, insurance does my head in!

I'm 33 and actually have a fully comprehensive motor trade policy, so I am covered to drive any car/ van up to 7.5 tons, and bikes up to 600cc, and can have an unlimited number of vehicles covered. (I currently have four cars, but have had up to seven).
I pay £650 a year for that.

Out of interest I just got a seperate quote from Tesco for the GTi, and it came out at £225.75 fully comp :)

Which is fine if you have access to that thread and that section of the forum, but for those of us that don't, myself included, then I see abslutely no problem in raising a new thread in an area that can be seen by everyone, and it is a shame that some people feel the need to spam it.

26 5yr ncb 1 ban and 6 points avarage crime area £461 tpft for me and the mrs bad-a-bing

and here's a quick pic from me to keep the thread rolling

Have you read the thread? it's useless. Someone started a thread saying he'd had a high quote on insurance, and as always happens in insurance threads - everyone wheeled out their quotes, he didnt ask for them, I doubt he cares, I doubt anyone does, I doubt anyone even read through all the quotes, did I put how much I pay for insurance? no, because no one could care less. you spammed the OP by your own definition my friend ;) I'm not up for debating who was the most petty in the this subject - it was only created for someone to vent their surprise at an overly high quote and has descended into an endless list of useless information as happens anywhere people get to list their own experiences (check out the 'what cars have you owned' thread for example). lets not get chewy over something so mindless, I certainly wont. Sorry for pointing out a link to more of the very same information you're implying is valuable, carry on.

Just because you believe that its useless information does not mean that everyone else shares your point of view. If you don't want to read the post, then don't read it.

After all, what is a messageboard where people don't express their personal experiences? It is a blank page on an empty website.

99.9% of the time that would be spot on mate, people only have a problem with insurance threads because there are so many of them, i understand what your saying though and its a fair point.
