is that rear wiper mod jsut the mod, or have you modified the arm to sit lower? When mine switches direction at the bottom of the stroke, it sites a couple of inches above the edge of the window blocking a fair bit of the view out the back.
 
The wiper has a good bit of play in it. You just need to fit it so its pointing down a little, then when you turn it on it'll go back down and sit level.
