N14 vs N15

Hi all,

Can you share your opinion about which coupe to take for a track car ?
Sunny N14 or Almera N15.
All pros and cons you can remember, as I never had a chance to have or drive one of these 2 ;)

Thanks in advance and have a nice holidays!

/vvl/ forever !!!

I'd go Almera for a track car, bits are cheap and plentiful.

Some would say that the Sunny is superior in the handling department but imo there isn't much in it.

Neither are a coupe, neither have vvl. But thats me just being picky.

Get which ever one you want, id go for the one that has best access to parts and for a good price.

Personally if you own neither now just buy yourself a civic or teg as it will save a lot of bother and you will end up with a better track car for much cheaper.

Gona be shot for that statement....

I used the word "coupe" with other meaning = chassis .
And I have VVL engine in my garage, i know, but still not 100% sure I want to make NIsda - Nissan VVL + Honda chassis ...
Does anyone succeeded to make some camber in the Almera rear beam ?

Rowdy has had a beam bend done, that does the trick.

Finding someone to do it is another thing though.

Either that or chop off the hubs and re-fit with the desired camber.

Rear camber is isn't really an issue.
Put a similar spec'd and driven n14 & n15 on track and there would be little difference between the two. Both are good.

Ian, I just saw in your signature "974kg without driver...." - is that fully stripped or there is an option to reduce the weight even more (not meaning carbon fiber) ?

True ;)

Just look at stats from a standard N14 Gti V standard N15 Gti.
The N14 weighs less and is slightly quicker from factory though, but very few about, so the N15 would be easier to gain spares for.

Do you really think that "likes" are important to anyone? You lead a very shallow life if you do.
