N14 vs N15

Yes..

Are there any differences in the chassis between GA14/16DE and GTI - is the GTI stronger with less body roll ?
Or between phase 1 and phase 2 ?

Chassis are identical, gti has different suspension and braking systems, as well as front and rear strut braces. I believe thats all thats different x

Of course everybody here is going to vote N15 being a mostly N15 club but as mentioned earlier, there isn't much to be gained from one over the other.

I think I speak for all those that have owned both chassis and finding spare parts for the N14 is harder these days.

All depends how far you want to take things ultimately

N15 FWD option is cheap and readily available

N14 or N15 4WD if want something serious

Even though its not an option to vote on if Nissan would be P10 T4 (4wd)

FWD can be serious too Eddie, doesn't need to be 4wd for that.

T4 would be a lovely choice if it wasn't for the rarety.

I was close to buy one P10 T4,but I was too slow ;) :

The car was found by friend of mine and used only for spare parts (because of the crank ,as it is different from FWD SR20DE) for his P10 T4.
Now 2 other friends (big Nissan enthusiasts ) are rebuilding the car with Pulsar's SR20DET , all from scratch, OEM parts, expecting good results.

I was looking at importing P10 T4 as a project as lost interest in my N15 tbh... but the expense/effort etc would be huge would be stupid not just to buy a Mitsubishi Evo

Readily available parts etc for a Evo from newer models for cheap upgrades or plentiful aftermarket support also.. besides the P10/N15/N14 etc a little old and outdated. Give it 5 years and you won't be able to get coilovers etc for any of them off the shelf.. custom all the way £££££

If you can stick to a stick budget lots of fun to be had all the same... thats if you can dig imperfections & limitations

If you're starting from scratch, surely the best chassis for vvl insertion and track fun would be a P10.

Keep an eye out for a pov spec that belonged to a vicar and rip it to bits.

How does 4wd make a car handle better?
ie. P11 BTCC or Almera rally car.
