Why is the knock sensor getting a mention? It won't be that. I'm even doubtful of the dizzy being at fault but it's the right thing to try first. If you do get chance, check all the wiring you can, maybe a little rodent had a go at a couple of important wires if you left it stood somewhere field like for that week.
Knock sensor came about because i was in the mind at the time that a crank sensor was a seperate unit and the local parts shop said no crank sensor but got a knock sensor.
Checked all wiring and connectors and wd40`d em to displace any grease or crap.
My motor was parked in my drive for a wk no fields or rodent havens lol (Peterborough aint that bumpkin, honest) , drove home from work as usual, no issues, wk off, then jumped in it for work n dead, head scratcher.
Hopefully new dizzy will sort it.
