N15 SRI Strut Braces

Took Tashas one off her GTi and not noticed any difference at all. So nah just flog it to someone with the bolt holes.

well i only paid £20 for a load of parts off of a GTi.... including both strutbraces rear light, both fogg lights, and a few other bits and bobs so not too worried about selling it... just a shame i couldnt fit it

Thats strange, ive a Red 3dr SRi on 97/R which had the holes, my Blue 5dr SRi on 95/N had the holes as well I think. I personally do notice a difference, easier to predict (or rather ignore) when the back end comes out if your going over a roundabout a bit quick.

just unlucky i guess... it still handles better than my old polo so cant fault it so far and with the lowerd suspention on and the front strutbrace on i think it will handle even better!

mine was there and threaded, nissan lucky dip i suppose.

must be annoying going to all that trouble for something that no matter how hard i try to notice a difference from i cant, theres nothing different at all that i can feel, same with the front. bushes are too soft for any sort of bracing to make a difference imo, any stress just goes elsewhere, probably doing more harm than good by transferring were the stress is going at a guess.

may as well add it in to here now its been bump'd.

before i sold the car i took both off, whether my driving style had changed, placebo or whatever i actually thought it drove better without them, just seemed a bit less on edge imo but then that car was always hugely forgiving anyway, if you was getting it wrong then you couldnt drive.

strange seeing a post from when i still had it, sold it a month or 2 afterwards.
