N16 cd-player removal

Hello, i'm trying to temporary remove my original cd player from -05 luxury almera.
Can anyone tell me how to do it without breaking the plastic panel?

Pull out the plastic trim at the bottom (the part with the curry hook on it). It un-clips with a little force, pulling towards the gearstick. You will see screws that hold the centre dash in place. Remove them and it will reveal more screws to let you remove the cage that hold the CD drive. Form there you should be fine.

So put the finger in where the hook is and pull out?

I need to verify the connections at the back of the head unit.
Should I disconnect the battery before doing so to be safe?

Ah sorry my bad, it's the plastic trim below that hook. Pull it forward. This will reveal the screws.

Yes best to disconnect the battery as there is live power back there.
