N16 header

oh ok then

Im sure the OBX one is better then the standard one :P

on 2nd thorghts I heard that All cars made after 2002 must have a Lambda Sensor (considering my car is a 53)

I am guessing this may not have a Lambda Sensor so it may turn on the engine management light and fail the MOT

I am guessing but on 3rd thoughts if there is a Lambda Sensor in the cars fitted after 02 plates then if you decat the car the Lambda Sensor will have a wrong emissions reading and set the Engine management light to turn on ?
lamda sensors are in most if not all electronic fuel injected cars. it is removeable and will fit in the new headers. your car won't fail an mot if the engine check light is on if the engine is running fine and passes the emissions test.

well If you get a Header it will remove the cat

once you remove the cat will it pass the emissions test ?

Firstly - Once you have fitted the header there is no chance on earth you will pass the MOT

Secondly - OBX is the same as hotshot - people may disagree but yes they are the same. Maybe not exactly but pretty much so. The reason they are cheaper is because they copied Hotshot and did not do and R&D themselvesm thats why people don't like them. People say the welds are crap but i thought they were good and i'm pretty sure the person who bought it from me though the same.

People hate OBX because they copy designs and sell them cheaper

i hate obx cos the quality was shite, the welds covered the stud holes, the finish was cheap and tacky, the connections for egr and lambda had been cut badly into the tubing and then had a nut welded on. the downpipe went over 90degs as well so that it pressed up on the sump. i now have a hotshot and they are completely different. searching on google will show what people think of obx, some guy with a honda made a whole webpage about why to avoid them.

Aaahhh memories of the old B15 Sentra/N16 Almera comparison threads making a welcome comeback - although most things from the 80's are making a comeback i doubt this will have any similar form of success...

Yes the header fits both the 1.5 AND 1.8 almera's

Now you could possibly fit the header AND pass an mot IF, and it's a hypothetical IF, you fit one of these

Second from the bottom however you'll no doubt have to take it to a custom zorst place to fabricate flanges/sleeve clamps

And lastly, even i have to concede defeat, shove the basics on the 1.5 (Induction, Exhaust, Fuel Pressure Regulator - if you must) but anything else and its a waste of time...

But that's just my two pence worth

n16 passes the MOT with open exaust system without cat if EGR valve is IN function.

Been there, done that...
