You'll be up against 205 GTi, VTR / VTS , AX GTs etc...and lots of other seriously quick track cars. I wouldn't bother.

Best bet would be BC's as miester R have discontinued production on any n16 collies.

I'm sure it'll be good practice, and a good learning curve, but I personally think you're throwing money at the wrong car, or more to the point, wrong engine.
I'd love you to prove me wrong though.......

welcome on board! There was used to be a chap on here who had a N16 with a phase 1 1.5. These are around 88bhp stock, he had a 4-2-1 OBX manifold, custom 2.5 backbox, Hotshot CAI and a dastek ecu tune reckon he got 120bhp

You've got the parts (and by the sounds of it) The money so why not go balls out from the off?

Seems an expensive way to find out you've made a booboo tuning a boat anchor.

Take my advice, I'll only charge you half what you are going to throw away on that QG.
