New grille (FAO Sprint, Harryd & everyone)

sprayed my indicators this morning, theres condensation in them at the moment, hoping that they will sought out tho

the headlights look a bit more complicated to take out etc. cant be bothered of to the pub instead :P
 
Good effort mate, ties in really well. Mine condensated at 1st but i dried them out inside the house and put a clear scilicone on any gaps. All fine now.

I went to the pub aswell when i looked at doing the headlights. How Sri-Alan has the time/patience/balls to do his is unreal. Want to give it a go though, need to find a wrecked p2 with the 'clearer' headlamp lenses i reckon. The black will show through better and make it more noticeable (worthwhile).
 
Looks good mate!!!! Well done. i done excatly the same wi my headlights. just can't get them off last time i tried i broke the bulb!!!!

i put the lights in sum boiling water it worked a treat, didnt have to risk melting them in the oven.
how did u remove your headlights?? did u remove all of the backin aswell? spose its not suitable puttin them in hot water cos of the electrics.
does look better tho :D
 
yeah there is all the info in that thread i sent you. but you have to undo the two screws at the side and the two behind then you've got the block connector aswell!!!

Then stick em in the oven and same as indicators!!!!

Just realised this but can't be bothered typing it again so

:P the oven scares me, only suitable for a women me thinks. i got it out apart from the part connected to the grill. then it pissed down with rain and i lost interest

Lol i dont really have any patience or time! i knew itd be ok though after doing the indicators. I was doing it nice and slowly taking my time, then my mate called and asked if i wanted to go out in the piss, so I finished it off quickly :lol: It's not so hard to do, and there is a write up on it by the first member who did it, Whitey.
The P2 lamp is the only one to do it on, they look so much different to P1s in the flesh. I just dont think black surround on a P1 would be visible
 
Yeah but remember whitey did the 'wrong' lines for P2 GTi-alike headlamps, there are 2 ridges on the P2 ones (1 ridge on a P1) and he did the inside ones, whereas nissan did the outer ones.
