newbie, help please

hi guys, i've owned my almera 1998 1.4si for 3 years and it has never let me down.......until now:(
the car turns over fine, but won't start, i removed one spark plug, reconnected it and there is no spark?? before it would'nt start a mate tryed to open the door before i had unlocked it, could it be an imobiliser problem?? is there any way to reset the imobiliser??
thanks guys

the battery is fairly new and good, the main engine fuse?? where would i find it, what fuse box is it in?
thanks for trying to help me mate!!

The 75A fuse is in the fuse box to the left of the battery. It is unlikely to be that though as when that blows you can still bump start the car

i took the fuel pipe off the fuel rail, turned the engine over and fuel was coming out the pipe, the fuel pump is working, the car does have a nats imobiliser, i think this is the problem, is there a way to reset the imobiliser?

thanks mate, i did read that thread earlier, i've no spark and no fuel getting into the cylinders, but fuel at fuel rail?? would the imobiliser shut of the fuel and spark??:(

if your imobiliser stops your fuel so if you have fuel at the rail then it aint that. when you take your pipe of for the fuel is there alot of pressure there or is it just a dribble?

living in the highlands the garages will be few and far between, have ya got a code reader? if not ,GET 1. could be the coil or a amplifer have ya not got any testing gear ?

thanks guys, the fuel coming from the disconnected pipe is squirting out, under pressure, can't understand why it's not getting to the cylinders.
i'll try another ht lead and plug tomorrow??
