As I'm sure anyone who's woken up on a hospital bed covered in butterfly stitches when they're s'posed to be at work has told you, Thursday came as quite a shock for me :o

I don't have a clue what happened and my mate who I was giving a lift in can't seem to remember it either - meeting a local copper on Monday who should be able to fill in the blanks (reckoned we were sideswiped by a lorry outside work)

Thought I'd post a few piccies which have appeared on my phone since then - have yet to see the car 'in the flesh' but would imagine any of the non-damaged bits will appear on the For Sale section soon ;)

All part of the healing process :

Shit mate, thats another damn nice mera off the road. Glad to see you are ok.

This is another fine example of how good the almera is in a crash situation, as im sure some of you can vouch for.

Ah shit mate :( , such a waste after see'ing it in the flesh a few weeks back. Wouldnt be worth repairing it i assume ?

even if it was repairable, would you want to drive it again...?

Mate I know exactly how you feel,

My old pride and joy was written off in a motorway pile-up...

The main thing is you're ok!

Hang in there, you'll get a new motor sorted soon

damn shame whats happened but glad your ok mate, i think there's just no luck with green 'meras they are always the ones that seem to get it :(

Pulsar GTI > Where do you get the idea that the Almera is good in a crash situation.

The pictures I have seen from crashtest hasnt been a pretty sight.

i think he means that from every one thats wrote there 'mera off has at least been around to tell the tail ! :)

Well for crashing , i woulda thought the mera would be a good bet. Pretty densly built chassis , airbargs & its hardly a small car compared to most hatches. Crashed mine at 40mph (dark green at the time  ) , managed to only do £450 (a new wing , headlight , bumper, grill & a bit of chassis bendin) of damage , yet virtually wrote off the Audi A3

lol Driving back from blackburn this saturday with a bonnet in the back , so at 90mph im well n truly fked anyway

Damn man !!
That is a real mess mate but i'm glad to see that you came out of it alive. I hope you don't have too many problems with your insurance clams etc. Have a speedy recovery.
