I think wide body kits either work really well or disasterously wrong.
The ones that look good are those that are pre-planned and customised. i.e they may have a 3D or 2D composite image of the car with a kit on. Here they can decide what works with the lines of the car and they can adjust the eventual mold.
Pre-design kits may have a correct set that match eachother i.e the skirts, arches, hood etc. More often these are sold separatlely and are not necessarily matched with its counter-parts when purchased kinda the mix-match syndrome. - lucky dip at the sweet stall so to speak. Therefore, a hit and miss if it works/fits.
Lastly, it comes down to personal taste - perhaps what we perceive as an ugly-beast is anothers beauty??
If it turns out bad - would you change that ugly part? For some it comes down to cost. So if anything we can appreciate the effort made. Likes and dislikes are completely you're entitlement to an opinion.
