Right, from personal experience, my SRi has had standard SRi suspension, then standard GTi suspension, then GTi suspension with lowering springs, and the GTi stuff was noticeably stiffer, and much higher at the front, causing the car to look as though it was 'squatting'. i think this may have been to compensate for the GTi's heavier engine.
Looked ridiculous anyway, so now I've lowered the front.
