rear wiper mod

Anyone have a pic of this done with the standard wiper arm? And how far does it wipe upwards?

Mine has also passed an mot (with a punto wiper) so not sure it really matters, it's certainly still visable as i can see it reflect on my garage door when i come home and reverse at night.

Mk1 Punto arm £2 off ebay ;)

Purely for show that, didnt wipe the window at all and caught my spoiler, have since removed it and bunged the hole.

ok the wiper looks smooth but whats the point if it catches, just do the mod and make the standard look pretty

you didnt get bollocked mate a point was spoken, you'v been around for a long time looking at your registered date and this question is readely available with a search, if it doesnt come up because your not a member well so be it.
i dont know wether you have been a member in the past and not renewed if thats the case you should have seen the question you asked.
when people come on who havnt even posted but become fully paid member or even a post or two and become member, can you blame us for not answering questions to people that got no care for the club?
bad luck with the car but we all get it from time to time, this aint moaning its just telling you like it is:rasp:

Basically the punto wiper arm is optional, it looks smoother and more modern.
You can modify the wiper motor gears to allow the same movement with the wiper parking at the opposite end to standard, which means it sits neatly at the bottom.
It is very easy to do and takes 15mins max.
It is safe, will not cause any damage and does NOT obscure the brake light.
The punto arm is a direct replacement to the standard arm if you want the smother/simpler look.
It is in no way necessary.
Hope this helps, Joe

i didn't find it a direct replacement. the hole in the punto arm is smaller than the splined part coming out of the motor.
@JClark: I drilled the hole in the arm out to bout the diameter of the middle of the splined shaft and put it on like that. bit of bodge but it held ok!;)
