Shameless self publicity this one.. it was me.. very surprised that the 1998 740 could not out drag the Almera. 1st and 2nd off the roundabout were close, but by 3rd I was half a car length ahead. Still I guess its carrying a lot more weight, but felt proud of my victory.
 
From what i remember i think they do about 7.9 secs to 60 and 1/4 mile of 16.1 which will be exactly the same as a GTi.

But thinking about that it may have been an early 740.
 
I guess the fat business man driving it kncoked down the 0-60!! or had a little more regard for his motor.. having said that he felt the need to carry on flooring it long after I have proved my point.
 
that probably driving a big bmw doesnt make you the bee's knee's and and old 'family car' car lash it haha... (oh any maybe, my cars faster that urs :P)

I love seeing the look on peoples face when I fly past them or keep up with them lol...
