So eric decided after to grind the letters off then...

Does look very nice though!

Boghopper that is one sweet looking rocker cover!!!

How long did it take them to do that?

Hey mark how are them spark plug covers held on?

Also what the best way to preserve the look of the polished rocker cover once finished, autosol, laquer it?

platic plastic primer for a guess mate rub it back do that a couple of times then spray a couple of coats of the desired colour.
you have a plastic engine cover correct? not the actual rocker cover lol

can you get away with powder coating the rocker cover? Cuz I could get mine sand blasted and powdercoated for nothing through a mate's work.

What about anodizing? (feel free to point out anything stupid in this post. I know jack about painting/anodizing).

Yeah i really like the the polished finish but with everyone saying it a bitch to keep nice i was think about having it powder coated too .A mate had his done red (not an almera) cost him £45 for rocker cover, standard front strut brace n the little bit of metal that holds the battery down, and looks really nice and made the engin bay so much more vibrant. I'll post pic when i get home.

Holy buggaration!!! If my car looked as clean as that i'd show it off more often!!!

I can only presume the engine was out at one point? Either that or he/she was a proctologist...

Something to do on a sunday afternoon!

Anyone know anything about anodizing? Any reason why I can't get my rocker cover anodized in some crazy purple or red or something? If it's doable I can get it done for free, that or powdercoating, though it seems a waste on a GA14DE. Can't complain when it's free :D.
