Some annoying things on my Almera

N16 is strange - if you fill it to the brim, you can get nearly 100 miles before the needle gets down to the 'full' mark - seem fairly quick to go down after that though.....

Yep, noticed that on mine as well! :)

i think we can safely say that the fuel gauge is harly accurate lol.

i thought it was just mine that was all over the shop, especiually when you get to the last quarter of a tank!

Phew, I've been using the car for work the last few weeks (bike is away for winter) and I thought i had a leak. driving 10 miles it went from 1/4 to red and I bricked it and thought uh-oh.

I also get the steamed up window thing. It does clear but it takes ages. Thanks for the tip Kelv, I'll change the pollen filter in the next couple o weeks

think it is a common problem with some cars today my focus used to do the same . What i tend to do is have the fan on screen with the temperature on a wee bit as cold air no good and it usually works.

Look what happened yesterday while I was sitting in traffic and the car idling:

 i bet you have been drivin around with the camera dyin for this to happen again:lol:

this is what happens to me also at the 1/4 tank mark

I refer you to my previous post, where I noticed the exact same thing happen:

The thing that gets me is, the needle is now on the red line, but the light isn`t on, but yesterday, sitting ticking over on the drive, it was between 1/4 & empty & the light started flickiering!

Needle was slightly lower than yours though (more dead in the middle)

Have you tried opening the clock and adjusting it? I realised you could when I accidentally knocked mine, dont know if it's permanent though. Have found this problem as my GTi tank will hit the light much sooner needle-wise to the SRi.

Yea, got a rig set up in the car with all the proper lighting, a nice backround to go with it and a professional camera man who will take the pic...its bloody costing me more than the unnecessary fuel stops

Clock as in on the dash?
How would i do that and why would that help? loose wires perhaps

The guage thingy that tells you how much fuel is left.. I just call them dash clocks is all but guess I'm wrong. You can move the needle manually, don't know if it would stay right though, best time to do it would be after you have filled tank to the brim, or after the engine has stalled from not enough fuel.
