wash and dry wheels fully - Scotch the surface down and then blow off the excess. use a an almost dried out baby wiper to remove all the last little bits. Once the surface is completely matted now your ready for the primer. I used halfords all purpose grey 500ml can.
You wanna blow the first 3 layers in as light as possible. Pretty much dust layers to get a nice even coverage. Between coat I stood the wheel in front of a space heater and then began to prep and paint another wheel, less down time as your always doing something. However as your doing just the spare for now this doesn’t apply obviously.
Once the primer is touch dry maybe only 15mins in front of the heater, then a you can apply two solid layers of primer to now cover the alloy fully. 15mins in front on heater
- 2 fine dust layer of paint
15mins in front on heater
1 full coat of paint
15mins in front on heater
1 full coat of paint
20mins in front on heater
- 1 layers of lacquer
10mins in front on heater
1 layers of lacquer
10mins in front on heater
1 layers of lacquer
20mins in front on heater, then leave to dry somewhere warm & dry over night
And bingo was his name, good luck lol
