Well that's not good is it?

The engine will take in air through this breather filter and the MAF will not give the correct signal to the ECU, causing fueling issues.

Better tell the owner to rectify the problem.

Just been thinking about this.
The GA engine series (for example) have the breather pipe before the MAF sensor? So it wouldnt get measured anyway?

I thought these breather systems were there as a ventilation system to vent off excess pressure from the hot oil and gases within the engine. Not to to draw air in. Hence that blow by oil thingy ma jig into the intake system.. :O
