I have been tempted to get new shocks myself before i put the springs on. But unsure what to do yet like. Spax hav always been a budget brand and you get what you pay for. Go for apex i wud.

Ordered a set of Apex springs off ebay last night

Pretty sure the apex ones are 35/20 too boss IIRC.

Thanks Steven - pretty sure the ad said 35mm drop front + rear, but time will tell.

If that's right Paul then that's best. My H&Rs were 35mm all round and it sat near perfect. Higher at the rear would have looked rubbish.

You're diseasel is mega nose heavy though so needs more lowering on the rear to take up the fat

:lol: good point Steven. But I would have thought H&R would have designed the spring rates for just this? They were specifically for the diesel and thus give a 35mm drop whatever. So a 35mm designed drop on a petrol should still drop... yeah you guessed it... 35mm :lol:.

my brother is now running apex springs quoted 35mm drop

They've finally arrived ! After a delay in sending them & then another delay with the postal strike, it's taken nearly 2 weeks to get them. Good job I wasn't in a hurry ! So I now have a set of 35 mm lowering springs by Apex & a set of Excel G's to be fitted in the spring. No point in fitting them now as the winter's arriving, they'd just get wrecked by salt.
