TEIN Rear Top Mounts

and bugger this...

after discussing this thread... my brand new HAs arrived from Japan today.. without either front or rear top mounts!!!!

DISASTER!!! will they fit without the TEIN ones, i mean, will the nissan ones fit?? how did you get the HA's if their not available anymore?!!?!!

yeh.. i'll find some other top mounts to fit... I was hoping for the camber adjustable ones to be in with the package but they weren't.. :(

they were a lucky find of "old new stock".... someone had them in stock that were never sold so they were sold off... I doubt there'd be too mnay of them sitting around the world

they're so shiny!! :D
 
well.. i went down to the mechanic today and brought the top mounts with me.. took out the old ones and the bearing is fooked on them, so we tried the nissan top mounts AND THEY WORKED!!! woo hooo!! been driving the car for the past year with that stupid noise coming from the back but now i've a bit of piece and quiet! thanks lads for all the help!!!

Shiny blue - goodl luck with yours, the top mounts currently on your car should work so you shouldnt have any problems hopefully!!
 
Are you gonna get the top mounts renewed?? i might do the same thing cause that bangin noise is wreckin my head. would like to get mine renewed. Mabye we could send both sets off together split the postage

good idea, but the thing about it is, you will probably NEVER notice the difference unless your out on the track or something, i cant notice any at all. postage shouldnt be too dear, the top mounts are only like 50 euros to refurbish BARGAIN! but what kind of TEINS are yours? HA's, flex or super street? could be a problem with the orignal mounts if you have flex or super, HA's are a direct swap

i suppose their the same then, if your up for sending them away, i'll do it after christmas probably, dont want to go through the post office in a busy period like this, just in case they loose the bloody thing!

i never thought yours were making noise, when we were at the RR day the car seemed quiet enough..

true, to be honest, maybe your best bet is to get a standard top mount and put it in for the time being, if you feel no difference between it and the tein one, maybe save the money and not bother getting it fixed, you probably wont need them unless your serious about track racing and that like.
