Tesco's 99 Wins Fuel Shootout

I`ve advanced my timing, and have a suspicion that Tesco 99 is a bit smoother than V-power or any 95.
But then again, don`t things like the self-learning Ecu, and ambient air temperature affect economy and performance on a daily basis?

erm, ish... colder air, better combustion. only ignites the chosen amount of fuel though, thus cancelling that theory...

as far as i know Vpower contains cleaning additives, hence smoother, keeps lines and injectors clean... i might be talking bollocks though.....

v.power for smoother ride and abit extra performance.

bp ultimate for cleaning the internals and MPG.

Tesco 99 for performance.

EVO magazine also done tests on fuel and above where there findings.

(but at the end of the day its drivers choice)

Old post I know but nobody pulled you on this :P

Colder air is more dense and contains more oxygen.
A MAF sensor doesn't just measure air volume, if the air is colder then the same volume of air passing the hotwire will cool it quicker so requires more power to keep it at the constant temp. That voltage is the MAF reading. The higher the reading from the MAF, the more fuel is injected ;)

Just to add diesel relevance, as far as I know Tesco dont do a premium fuel, but out of all the 'super' diesel fuels I find V-Power gets me the best response and most MPG.

Few people on the sr20-forum are running on E85 as a mix with their normal unleaded. E85 is like 107 octane but some people swear by it others swear at it. Supposedly doesn't do the fuel system any good....Would try it if I had a live ECU.

V power all the way in my car

and v power diesel is much better than normal diesel, put it in me van every now and then

What do you mean by live ECU?

Like AEM, Motec, Calum...something were I could sit in the car with a laptop and adjust fuel and timing for the E85, If I had the knowledge obvisously.
