the mighty 1.4 rusty rice

heh I was looking at that interior and thinking, what! those seats are better than mine and it's a 1.4! now I know why.

£50? bargain, if I could find a set of GTi-R seats for that I reckon I'd probably buy them! That's if they can be rammed into an N16 though.

all bolts fit in bar the one which sits on the bracket by the centre console at the rear of the seat so i just drilled another hole and put a new nut and bolt threw =)

Was that inner one by the centre console just too far away? Ie the GTiR subframe was too short? If so thats nearly confirmed the JDM N15 and GTiR subframes are the same, which should mean I can finally fit my bucket seats

yea the subframe bolt hole was a tad to short on the bracket bolt hole but it still sits on the bracket very nicely, also i picked them alloys up for a bargain price of 70 pounds with tyres, there off a early mazda 323 and mx5 =)

my new manifold has arrived, its going sent to jude perfomance services along with my 1.6 head i picked up last friday, once all parts are fitted i will be gettin it put on the dyno to see what the might 1.4 makes =)

well i thought i would update this thread some more. got my alloys back from a engineering company today to have the centres bored out, so i though id try my luck with some pikey tyre fitting, with lots of fairy liquid and a helping hand i managed to get one tyre on the rim. for the next step i used some deoderant and a small match to set the bead...................................... after a large bang and a quick check of the eyebrows everything was ok and proceded to inflate the tyre =) ps not for the light hearted
