the last owner i knew of was Matthew Hale, i gave him my number, but never heard from him. There was loads of electrics in the car, plus a nice convert imobiliser, dunno if its there still.

Nice to see it still on the road, but you need some mesh on the front vent where the plate normally is.

oh, andd they arent pop rivets, they are stainlees steel cap head bolt with nyloc nuts!! count em! i had to drill and tighten all those funkers!

oh, and it should have a unichip in there cos its running with a 1.4 ECU

Do you know whrere the uni chip is situated? just wondering coz it seems to be running a bit rough in recent weeks? perhaps it might need reseting or something?

Some young scally wag, kicked it off and it was hanging loose so i just removed it unitl i get time to sort it out one weekend

the unichip should be stuck on top of the ECU with double tape. Its behind the centre console under the stereo. ie inbetween the front feet well.

Think al have a look at the weekend, you aren't the fella who stopped me in newcastle last year are you? was the car ever stuttering when you accelerated under about 3500 revs?

i prolly was LOL! wasnt it at the lgihts or something last year?

anyways, the car was fine, if the unichip is there, it may need mapping, or it could be one of serveral things, servicing, timing, electrics. I can have a look if you wish.

It was yeah, one rainy night on way to the pub.
Just really annoying when you wana pull away and it just stutters and you look like a bit of a tit really. I've got your number, al give you a ring someitme

its funny this prob should crop up, a mates just bought a sri, and its got the same problem, sounds like its missing when you put your foot down, but driving normally its fine, hes changed all the usual suspects, plugs, leads, cap(but cant buy the rotor arm for some strange reason?), fuel filter, and still doing it

I got my problem sorted yesterday. I couldn't get the car to start, it was turning over but the guy reckoned it wasnt getting a good spark, so popped it into the garage and they reckoned my timing was out and that i needed new plugs. Touch wood it was going like a dream when i picked it up this morning.
