Tyre pressure

i have 32 in the front and 30 in the rear, although since putting some falkens on the rear im sure it feels a little "soft", probably just me though. rear tyres seemed to wear evenly with that, cant comment on the front as the tracking being a mile out killed the 2 of them :O . no idea were i got the 32/30 thing from though, could be wrong but its ok for me so far.

35 just seems to be what all garages put in them, when i had the last 4 tyres fitted they put in 35psi and with the last 2 they were done to 35 aswell, both at different garages, in reality aslong as its within the right kind of range you wont notice a difference unless really pushing it, most people never bother to even check them.

FALKEN - I have lost the back of my car twice with them on the back. The 1st time they had not been long, less than 6 months, and the back went. I was on the A55, tight bend, going home to Chester. I did have them at 34psi and now at 30psi. I have had my car for 7 years soon and go around this bend 5 days a week.
The 2nd time I was on a wet roundabout in the centre of Chester, 7:30am, and the back went. However, I then found that one of the back shocks was soft. Now replaced.
This could also be down to that the Pirellis on the front have a much better grip. In the next couple of months it will be 4 new Pirelli tyre times.

yeah, but does those pressures not only apply to the car with its original alloys and tyres on 16".I am now running 17".

The pressure should not change with the size of wheel / tyre if only going up one / two sizes and maintaining rolling radius. I'd only start thinking about increasing the pressure if I was going from 15-18's or 15-17 with very low profile. Even then, it'd only be by 2 or 3 psi.

IIRC my N16 was 32 psi front and 34/36 psi rear but then that was the 1.5 so maybe the recommended pressure was different with a deisel engine.

If you were setting up the car tires for track they grip best at 32psi when hot NOT when cold so drive around a bit get the tires working hard and then check your pressures. :)
