VSpec's N16 DCi

No worries, I'll get on the case. Probably think your too high profile and make money from there work, if only they knew the extremely few DCi tuning numbers.
 
Soo my order's finally here... :)

Ordered these from 2jR around 7 months ago when I was in employment and had dosh flying about to be spent on the SpecV Edition. Took abit of time to get to me as the RCK (Roll Centre Kits) were still in production and because I was going to buy the polyd wishbones it made sense to wait and get them installed in at the same time, so I could get my geometry setup one time. Also in that time poor Joe had his hands full to moving houses, prepping Race Cars, Running 2jR website etc.

I know I had been anticipating the RCKits but when I got home today I find a cheeky parcel waiting and peekabooing at me lol.

Over $1000 of 2j goodness and over a $1000 man diff ;) (if bought new from US dealers). I had no intention to buy the diff so soon but just had an urge to ask Ed if he was looking to buy 1 soon so we could go halfs on customs/delivery etc. but he had already bought 1.

So I started searching on b15.com, with no luck I turned to buy a new 1, Ed advised me to ask@local Nissan UK. Just went round in circles, even with quoting part numbers/chassis details it was still v.difficult for them to locate it, when they eventually found it they said they will need to fetch a price. Any who they couldn't get it in the end (thank goodness as they would be asking an arm'n'leg anyway), but then I got a call a week later saying they could put a special request in of a VAT included whopping £1500 or so.

I sort of gave up after that, and as always Ed on the look out for me found a dude on b15 selling a whole box and said PM if he would break it for the diff. Things were promising when he pm'd saying he would for quarter the price of the box, but after some difficulty the dude gave up and said he's just going to scrap it altogether... At which point I cried and said NOOOO!!! Then again Ed saves the day by sending me a link how to get the diff out. Which I sent the dude, and luckily for me he did it & said he was adding $50 to the already peanut price, I was like YEAH (Lil John style).

A real big thanks to Ed for getting me going for looking out for me, and for all the advice he's shared and for the 1000s of paranoid pms you always reply to, and off course a special thanks for prompting me to contact the b15 member. Saving me a BiG lump sum for such a BiG lump lol!!! I would have been a right lazy git (which I am) & done it next year or the year after knowing me. I would never have gone to this extent of tuning either, nor would I ever have know about or discovered it. You the man Ed! Max I was going to do was Map & possibly the hybrid.

Anywho moral of the very looong stooory is don't give up, hang in there and you shall succeed.

As mentioned above my 2j order was delayed and Joe was going to give some free 2j wrist bands to all the peeps who had delays, and free US deliveries for ordering in October. My guess was it was in this nice smiley box....

When you do get back into it you will love these mods. The HLSD is obvious, but they're raving about the bump steer and extended ball joints on B15u .

I'm sure I will, me was happies with the Bands and stickies... But can't complain about getting around 60 quids worth of quality bits from 2j.
 
I got wrist band and stickers... Not sure how you managed to get rad cap and engine brace bushes too.

I'm not sure either maybe due to 7 months delay, tied up funds, lack off communication etc? I only just found out last week that my HLSD was @2j even though I pm'd during his busy period, but no response. Bought it around 4 months back and just been sitting on the edge hoping for a reply, tbf the b15 member did send it tracked and it was delivered but I still wanted Joe to confirm it was received and most importantly if it was okay to go in my box as I just did a sneaky 1 and give 2j's shop details for delivery, but when the RCK's were complete I PM'd Joe to change the shifter bushings and that's when it was 100% confirmed had to pay a little extra for delivery but no biggie as the Diff was much heavier and bigger then I imagined (just going of the pic of your actual Diff you sent me). Was shocked it only cost $12 or so to send within US, it was a large flat rate USPS box so I guess no matter how heavy the damn thing if it fits its all good. :D

I was thinking maybe he's mixed or combined our orders at first. But then I remembered Joe sent yours separately and also there was a big smiley on the box so I knew it was a goodwill due to the delay. He also pressed the RCK's in for me too which he was going to charge for originally, oh and I thought the Rad cap he sent me was just a normal standard cap but when I saw the Top of the cap there was an 1.3 engraving on it.

I did say the diff was heavy and to not be surprised by extra shipping costs.

Also yeah Joe did originally combine our parts, but when I phoned him to confirm my stuff I corrected him as he forgot I wanted mine directly to save time. Perhaps the second wrist band and engine brace bushings are a mistake and were mine. I got my wrist band and bushings anyway though.

But you ordered RCK and shifter bushings too no..? Your right maybe its could be a mistake I'll get on to him see what he says, hope they were meant for me though. :D Wow you got through to Joe I tried the shop no his mobile and no luck tried from landline and a special international card but it would just ring forever..?

Sorry Bud but all above now SOLD to the dude (Shane) that bought my BC's. He also bought all the Bushes I bought from the US too (on the previous page). He is going to be nearing up there with Ed handling wise. Maybe I should ask him if he wants some Racing Rims to go with his Handling pack, ohh what do you know I have some TE37 Rays for sale. ;)

That's cool, good that some will be making use of he mods. I do have a few more chassis mods though. Who's Shane?
 
Get him on the forum more. He's only made one post so of course we're not going to know the chap. I love how you have referred to him twice now like we should know who he is. Get him to stick up a proper introduction thread!
