Just a thought!

You could buy a standard VZR and modify it to N1 power with change left over!

i.e. my car is a 1999 and we'll just say you'd have 5k to spend modifying it! It also has the Pulsar body kit that this whit one doesn't. i.e sideskirts and rear corner splitters!

Worth a shot anyway :D

I know but the bodykit wasn't on the n1's afaik. I dunno though sayif you bought the n1 and spent the same on the engine as you would on a vzr to raise her power wouldn't you get a 200plus n1.I mean they had port polishing done port grinding, lightned flywheel, balancing, and the 2 stage neo that mine dosen't have and now there is a neo controller available also that can adjust the neo for earlier engagement. then theres the hassle of sending the car away to get tuned and who to send it to and getting a spare car while work was being done on mine.

your right about the neo controller but i've heard somewhere that its best to leave it the way it is.. kicking in at 5800 and 7000 rpm (or there abouts)
bodykit was an option on the n1s i think..
you could always get a manifold, a few places make them but the gains arent that high for the money you pay imo, you'd probably have to send the car to england to get it tuned or maybe ring around over here, try track day performance in Wicklow (www.trackdayperformance.com) or theres another place in galway afaik,

for the price tag of an n1 you could always go and get another car that would break that 200 bhp i.e Teg type R

Yea but there are type r's everywhere and people expect them to be quick but not an almera. it's the sleeper effect.lol plus a 00 teg r would be big bucks too.

can anyone translate this http://www.nissan.co.jp/COMPASS/LUCINO_NEW/VZ-R/detail.html

I think you can get the seats seperate, they look like skyline seats.

dont kid your self they dont make 200 bhp....190 is the best any of um have dyno'd..they are not that much quicker that you would notice all the power is high up in the range....2 lads from new zealand on here have um as well they didnt dyno 190..none of the lads over here at the rolling road day dyno'd 190...

yes but with some mods it should be possible. the ctr's only make 180ish on the dyno so as long as it's more i don't mind. to get the same from a bluetop vzr would cost money and time muttlys one got 181 with lots of money spent.

@dubalmera cheers for the translation.

No it's very unlikely,it's not going to happen with just bolt ons.If you want to have a blue top vzr that eats civic's and integra's you have to stroke it to 2litres,then you will have a serious vz-r and it's easy enough to do too!!!!!
You can buy the usual mods and then get n1 cams and intake and you still won't be anywhere near breaking the 200bhp mark.If that's not enough you can then buy an off the shelf turbo for it and blow it up :).In a straight line there's not a whole lot of difference between between blue and red top,it's on the track is where you will see the difference.Don't be fooled by n1's if you buy one there's not much you can do with it it's such a highly stressed and sensitive motor,i driven them and all i noticed was more torque and better throttle response! Check out sr16/20ve forum!!!!!

I rang the him today about the N1, sound lad. The car will be down from the docks before thursday so i'm going to look at her. never driven one so lookin forward to it.

Make sure you drive it properly!

It dosent really matter to me what the colour of the interior is like because I would probably change the seats for recaros anyway

Those seats are R33 Skyline GTR seats trimmed in that orange material. I looked into getting a set of Skyline seats and triming them in the grey so they'd match the standard interior. Lets just say arm and leg come to mind.
IIRC they were standard in the S2 Road Version but not the light weight version, same with the momo wheel. Again the whell could be gotten from a Skyline and should fit.
