What Coilovers have I purchased?

It may be possible that the original spring seats have been removed/machined off to make way for the thread though?

I suppose I'll just have to see how it drives when they're fitted..

Joe

Thanks a lot Rowdy, you're brilliant.

The fronts do look a bit long.. I thought that, but its deceptive because look how thin the spring is.
Also the fronts are not even half wound down height wise.
Thanks again, Joe

They could be at least partly whiteline, they seem to have the same spring configuration as whiteline coilovers. Whiteline were going to produce a set of coilies for the N15 but I don't know if it happened.

Similar spring config pics:

They use helper springs at the top of the struts which completely compress under the weight of the car then expand when the wheel is unweighted, might account for the extra length.

This is the most extensive list of coilovers for the N15 I have seen: http://www.nissanforums.com/suspension-brakes/7948-all-b14-coilovers-i-can-find.html

theres no way they are standard shocks with threds wellded on.. where the hell are the welds and you would think a sleve with threads on would be wider thant the standard damper so they would fit over it to be welded..

there are so many little suspention companies that could have made them.. does it really mater? just because they dont have matching colours and are dirty doesnt mean there not good.. iv seen second hand touring car suspention with different spring colours on every corner seats different colours....

all i would want to know is what spring rates they are as standard which can be tested anyway.. and if the dampers are strong wnough to cope with the springs they have if there not then they might need re valving but its doubt full someone has changed the springs. from what they came with..

shaggy give them a real good clean up and take more pictures.. lol

I don't think anyone's suggesting they're not good. It's more a curiosity thing.

I've found them in an old whiteline catalogue i got years ago (2003) so they must have been selling them then. I thought I had seen something about whiteline coilovers for the N15 but couldn't remember where. The product code for the whiteline coilovers is 1K4013.

Woah.. To clear things up guys they are infact whitelines, i mailed him right after Joe picked them up and he did confirm they were whitelines i've also asked for proof but he said he bought them long ago (2003ish) he said they where made to order for his VZR N15 and cost him au $2695. i'll get back to you with more info.
edit....@ Rowdy Whiteline Do make coilovers get your facts rights dude!!!

Its just an interesting case isn't it :)
I'm not too fussed myself, as I'm happy with the purchase and I hope they ride well :)
It'll just be interesting to find their orgin.

LOL.. mystery continues, like i said fit them if your not satisfied you get your money back, im no expert i won't be saying they were whitelines if i wasn't told so, saying whiteline never made coilovers without any research what so ever is just not right. check the posts on the pulsar org forum, they do say on there that whiteline infact did make coilovers.
