When you buy a custom exhaust is it a case of just fitting prefabbed sections of pipework of a given diameter together or do they design the geometry of the exhaust to achieve optimum flow?
 
Ive looked at bringing in exhaust's and after lengthy conversations this is why Im saying it, for the extreme cost of bringing one in, a well made custom system will be just as good if not better, granted there are some terrible custom exhausts out there, my first longlife one for an example...

But from somewhere like AAS or MIJ with good mandrel bends and decent construction theres no need to fork out £500+ on a brand name one.

but this is just my opinion from my own inquiries.. if there are so good howcome theres been a 5zigen system on ebay for over a week at around £200 delivered?
 
You can buy a SSAC header for £120 or a Fujitsubo for £400, difference is gains is minimal, it just depends on how high your standards are and obviously your funds at the time.

If i could justify it i`d by a 5Zigen for mine.
 
the bad thing is in holland we nearly dont have the posibility to have an exhaust custom made. In the uk you guys have dozen garages that do that kind of work all the time.

i rather import something way expensive and have fun of it, then spend less money and whine all the time:)
