same

Insurance was with most mods declared (most bits didn't matter) but tpft. 25, 5 years ncb, clean licence, garage...in Manchester...

I never said I got anywhere near 200bhp btw.

Me and a mate with a supercharged ITR started adding up, I stopped at £6k on parts (excluding car/insurance/maintenance)...he stopped at £25k!!

Sorry what I meant was, your being realistic and obviously know your stuff, whereas guys up here have their head in the clouds. One admin of a local tuning site claimed that a VTi makes 175 with a "zorst system and filter". Havent been back on that site.

I know what you mean mate ;)

Bragging rights doesn't mean much to me, I've done trackdays in a stock car and the grin is still there :D

In the interests of fairness, Almera:

Car £800
Insurance £340
Tax £110
Service/clutch/mot £200 (inc sill weld for MOT)
Tyre fittin £5 (tyre free off lad on Honda Revs) :p
Pads £15
MP3 Headunit £60
Mats £5

Cheap motoring :D

LOL have you seen pics of it? Its not quite that bad, reminds me of a sat nav display at halfords though

I know a lad with a EG6, he wants a manifold full system and a AEM. And reckons it will be 190hp. I said "you wish".

@ B16EG6, Would a ITR gearbox on a EG6, make a big difference.?

whats the AEM for? A fuel rail/pressure reg? what cams you got? itr too? a lot of people say its not worth changing the inlet, or the fuel rail

the cams, gears and retainers are supposed to be a good mod though

depends, if its a full system(manifold back), and a decent one, plus the filter it wont be far off

a spoon n1 backnox and dc sports header on a mates ek9 gave him an extra 9bhp(waiting on the decat and middle section from spoon still), and thats on a B16 thats already been 'tuned' by honda to from 160 to 187

Insurance £800
MOT £40
Road tax £100
Servicing £40
Wheels and Tyres £170
Minor mods £35
Cosmetic repairs/paint etc £35
Other repairs £40

Total: £1260
