Hi sorry its been a while since i replied but have had it on a machine and the code has came up p340 camshaft sensor i know its easy to change this but it could be the timing chain again which i only replace 12 months ago which cost me £500 and i have only done 8000 mile since it was done.

I have rang a few local garages and most of them won't do timing chains but i have managed to find one that will do it for £525 incl labour and vat. thanks for the replies great site.

No need for bad language i just want to be sure before i go and spend £700 on a new chain.

hi i have almera 1.5s 53 plate there are two camshaft sensors on engine are these both identical as if i disconeect the bottom one the car still starts but it i disconnect the top one it doesnt even when i swap the sensors over the car does not start this is what is coming up on the diagnostics...

if its this is there a way to tension it or is it a case of new chain.
