17's on N16 phase 2 ( i think) 2003 1.5 almera

Get them for £400 without tyres, £550 with 4 budget 205/40/17 tyres HERE.

Should include spigot rings (if required) and set of nuts and locking nuts in the price.

Good company - got my new rims to me within 48 hours this week and have been great when I've used them before.
Sent the wrong thread nuts this time, though.

spot on mate! i will upgrade the tyres to some falkens. do you think i should invest in a pair of mcgard locking nuts instead? im going to take the alloys to my local garage and get them to fit them so they can align them etc or is it just as easy to get them fitted myself and then take the car to the garage and get them to align them?
Cheers, Craig.

I'd not bother paying the extra for the expensive locking nuts TBH. Anyone determined enough to nick your wheels with standard locking nuts is likely to be able to do it with the expensive ones on.

I'd say best bet is to take them to the garage if you can, they may spot something you don't (first time I put alloys on a car I didn't realise they needed spigot rings because none had been supplied and I put the unidirectional tyres on the the wrong sides of the car.

I wouldn't touch rochford tyres with a 500mile barge pole.

- Three week delivery time
- Wheels were not in stock, when they said they were
- They lied to me in e-mail saying they had sent the wheels (a direct e-mail, not just a normal dispatch thing), when they hadn't even got them in stock
- Didn't send spigot rings
- Sent the wrong locking nuts
- Promised a tyre upgrade for my troubles which never happened
- Wheels weren't balanced correctly at al
- Seemed cluless when I called them

Stay well clear mate.

I couldn't find anywhere cheaper and up until this order they have always been fine for me with delivery in 2-3 days and everything in order.

They did screw up the nuts this time, though, and to be fair sent the wrong wheels as well (got sent these instead of these, I assume because the former were out-of-stock but the ones I got sent are great and should be quite a bit more expensive than what I ordered so I'm happy) but it sounds like they made a right mess of your order Steven.

Edit: They appear in both the 'recommended' and the 'not recommended' sections of this site so I guess their record is best described as 'variable'.
They are a pretty major supplier so I guess it's the same pros and cons as with most big businesses - cheap prices and lots of stock but patchy customer service due to high turnover??

hmm not the best thing to hear if i am going to buy off rochford tbh, but aslong as they dont come damaged in any way and they do send the right alloys + tyres and things needed, even if they do take a litle over a week then i will be happy.
i will order the alloys fairly soon ive got enough saved up for them anyways but with £85 a week which i pay out of my wages + whatever else i spend on a weekend i might get a bit more in the bank just to cover me.
any other comments that might help me will be appreciated.
Cheers, Craig.

cheers pal, ive been on their website but its quite a bit more expensive so no real point if i can get the alloys cheaper, but a good site for other bits for the N16

MSW is actually pretty much the cheapest place in the UK for ROTA wheels :D

It would appear rochford are decent on the whole, but when it goes wrong, it seems to do so in a big way.

just realised that alloywheels.com offer you tyres which are 205/40/17, so i would have to remove the tyres from the £550 package to make it £400 and then buy the tyres in seperately, bit of a shame seeing that each tyre for a decant set of falkens will set me back close to £70 a tyre when i could get the tyre upgrade for the same tyres but 40 profile for £200 for all 4, so would it be best if i ordered the tyres in seperately at 205/45/17's? any price lists would be good help.
Cheers, Craig.

Give Rochford a bell and see what they can do - they will stick 205/45/17s on your wheels if you want but they only list their recommended size on the online order form.
