Avoid the Phase 1 models. The interior spec (SE, SVE, SXE) does not change the engine at all and the SXE will have the nicest interior or an SX will have half leathers
Ah ok, It's just that I read somewhere on this thread http://www.almeraownersclub.com/threads/my-qg18de-powered-pulsar-q.22333/ that a certain 'trim' level or some options on the car would perhaps hamper the turbo conversion?

If there isn't much to worry about, then I'll go and tick off my SXE list that I've compiled and drive 80 miles to Norwich tomorrow to test drive it (and hopefully buy it on the same day).
If you are looking at supercharging an SXE (after improving your mechanical knowledge/ability) then i think you should be ok with an SXE (I believe AlmeraSleeper modified an SXE)
