I do know, but it's not for me to tell as it's his buisness (and if he map's your car he will put it on with the gtir's), but it does work.

oh really??
very interested to know the truth on this. i was sure he couldn't either but i haven't actually asked.
He'll be on here soon, i have just said to him to have a looksy on this site.
He can explain to me why he charged me more for a NISTUNE board to be fitted then.
Ok First of all, although its possible to work with Jez boards - I don't. The reason is I respect what Jez does and we cross paths on a regular basis on the dyno and via email etc. I have no need to go about messing with him or his products when really its up to the customer to go to him rather than me if they are in anyway not satisfied. That's how I would want to be treated if one of my customers went to anyone else.
I also prefer the nistune product. For a start once its fitted any future changes are much easier. You do not need to pull out the ecu to do a remap or anything like that any minor tweaks are dead simple too. It means I can offer a better service and support cheaper than if I had to get physical access to do anything. This is also why I only charge £150 for mapping cars if it has a PFC/e-manage/nistune i.e. a non invasive re-mappable ECU. That's probably half what some others charge.
And besides I'm very experienced with the nistune boards. Fusion was one of the first in the UK to use them and I have done a great deal of them now including things like getting the GTi-R ecu running on a Micra with a GA16 engine complete with turbo conversions/launch control and in Almera N14/Primera P10/P11 turbos conversions too. There is not much I can't do with them/SR/GA/MA/CG/RB engines etc. The customers who have stayed with me and worked with me for a long time know this too.
