almera gti turbo

do you know how he does that pal?

temporary rev limiter?

Steve

I do know, but it's not for me to tell as it's his buisness (and if he map's your car he will put it on with the gtir's), but it does work.

He can explain to me why he charged me more for a NISTUNE board to be fitted then.

Simple,if he charged you for the amount of time it take's to re use the horsham daughter board it would work out more expensive than fitting the nistune.

Ok First of all, although its possible to work with Jez boards - I don't. The reason is I respect what Jez does and we cross paths on a regular basis on the dyno and via email etc. I have no need to go about messing with him or his products when really its up to the customer to go to him rather than me if they are in anyway not satisfied. That's how I would want to be treated if one of my customers went to anyone else.

I also prefer the nistune product. For a start once its fitted any future changes are much easier. You do not need to pull out the ecu to do a remap or anything like that any minor tweaks are dead simple too. It means I can offer a better service and support cheaper than if I had to get physical access to do anything. This is also why I only charge £150 for mapping cars if it has a PFC/e-manage/nistune i.e. a non invasive re-mappable ECU. That's probably half what some others charge.

And besides I'm very experienced with the nistune boards. Fusion was one of the first in the UK to use them and I have done a great deal of them now including things like getting the GTi-R ecu running on a Micra with a GA16 engine complete with turbo conversions/launch control and in Almera N14/Primera P10/P11 turbos conversions too. There is not much I can't do with them/SR/GA/MA/CG/RB engines etc. The customers who have stayed with me and worked with me for a long time know this too.

:)

how much do you charge to supply and fit a nistune ed?

i thought that would be the case as i had a feeling you and jez cross paths and both work from surrey rr.

i'm not particularly unhappy with my horsham board, but daaammmnnnnn i wish i'd got nistune instead :(

as above re. price please ed?...

Yeah Jez is a cool dude, This world is too small and to easy to upset people without trying so I don't see my view as unreasonable at all.

Anyway, I'm not a trader here, I'm probably not allowed to say so admin if this is the case please feel free to delete/kick my arse/whatever. Type 3 (GTiR ECU mod to almera etc) is £440 inc dyno. Launch control is + £50 and STRICTLY NO comeback - its a toy and is harsh on driver/transmission/engine/turbo - everything. If you cannot supply a RNN14 ECU then I can but that's also £50. Type 4 - to keep oem ECU is £450 inc dyno, this is a normal custom remap. No tricks on these the my code only works on the RNN14 ECU's. Any truly random/off the wall conversions etc are quoted on an individual basis.

I now quote most price inc dyno as I rarely map on the road now. Too many tuners I know have been in crashes and at least one fatal, the dyno is so much quicker and far safer with a road test after.
