Back to the original topic, turns out I don't have a front ARB, had it up on ramps today and there isn't one lol, so I'll surely see a big difference from fitting one.
 
If you stiffen up the rear accordingly ( ie strut /chassis brace ) understeer should not be a problem.
 
Thanks paul. Is there any reason why it wouldn't have one? I mean, should it have one? Or being a lower spec was it maybe not installed at the factory?
 
you most probably have got holes in your wishbones as iirc the gti/sri/si wishbones are the same:D
i can sort you out with some brand new arb Dlinks if you want to go with the arb, if you want it that is,
i can bring it all down with me then :D
 
Probably worth making up a relevant thread for this inlet idea.

Also the picture that phil put up is NOT from a UK GA16DE as the ports are evenly spaced on the US head.

Also the coolant port is different

don't worry mate, my plate design is based on uk spec.

phil mine is a GX and has an ARB, so i really cannot fathom why you don't have one
 
thats why im shocked, even my Esteem had one. to be honest amazed any modern car wasnt fitted with one full stop
 
micra's even have a rear one i believe...

maybe the previous owner thought it wasn't worth replacing a damaged or worn part...
