Autech GTi

Ive found the Tein instructions for my suspesion so Ive raised it to the figures they have as Ive been having a couple of issues with them so trying to sort it out, clunks and knocking and what not since fitting the top mounts, pictures are just to show how shit its looking :)

and yeah thats the uni project :) it almost ready, thats mesh in the bumper too

Ah right...does it seem any better at that height with the clunking? When does it clunk/knock?

I hope you get the Autech kit repaired and back on soon.
The gastly holes in the sills make the car look tatty (when it isnt :thumb:) and the lack of skirts with your front splitter makes the car look inbalanced.

Whats going on with the Honduh then now?

For anyone interested the stock rev limit on an Autech is 7450rpm thanks to my ECUtalk computer (Cheers Stewart)

How Im rolling at the moment with my revised ride height :)

No bother Sam. At least its getting some use now since i dont have a nissan to use it on :(

It has helped to some extent, going over sharp bumps there is a metallic clunk noise, the only thing I have changed is the top mounts, one problem I have is the big 21mm nuts keep working themselves loose and this does make it worse, there are also clunks coming from the rears aswell, but Im stumped as to what can be causing it....

Ive had the suspension out probably a dozen times now to check everything, but cant find anything amiss...

Thats the cleanest ive ever seen your car! You should clean it more often, its looks nice.

The exhaust upgrade sounds like a good move, please dyno it afterwards!

I haven't washed my car since January  thats the best thing heh heh

Car was imported with the fuji manifold yeah, but I removed it a while back so I could get it modified, that was like before xmas haha

that rear quarter has been resprayed yes, its the door thats a different colour though for some reason, strangely my mates civic is the same.......

It needs moar low, more skirtz and wingz then the wheels will be subjected to a refurb.

I finish uni soon and will be moving back to Bristol so it will be bye bye midlandz for samuel, my plans can then hopefully get underway..

thats 1 shiney autech!!

looking stunning, is the kit going back on?
what polish/wax did u use? i find it hard to get a good shine on silver

Ive not polished the car since owning it and the only wax its ever seen I used Collinite 467 last june :)

my problem with getting it dyno'd is it hits speed cut in 4th gear......

Sam...when you had the problems with the box etc would it not have paid to change just the shaft which im guessing would have been the cause, rather than changing the box and taking it apart etc?

Well as I couldnt make it to Japfest I thought I would go somewhere closer :)

So booked my car in with Phil at Unique Exhausts for some lovin

Started the day outside at 8.30am

First up was the modifying of the Fuji manifold

P1010219.jpg

Then the backbox to suit the new bigger piping

P1010223.jpg

New Flange

P1010228.jpg

Now hangs straight

P1010241.jpg

All mocked up

Old vs New

P1010248.jpg

P1010249.jpg

Fitted up

P1010250.jpg

Then came the decat

P1010254.jpg

So it now stands like this

SSAC Manifold and 2.5" downpipe
into
2.5" Straight Decat
to
2.5" Midsection with a small silencer
to
Standard but modified Autech rear silencer

Im so happy with it its mad
its silent when cruising but the Autech rasp has been x10'd its epic
pulls loads harder now up top with the soundtrack to match

doesnt sound as raw as it did before at low revs but I more than happy with it

Cant wait for the new manifold it can only get better :thumb:
