Chunkys Pulsar GTi

Your wrong to leem, headgasket hadnt gone, thermo housing had cracked, rad cap wasnt holding pressure, which tks fixed, then the top rad pipe which we didnt spot gave up and lost my water, so over heated and cracked the head, also seeong as that head has has alot of skimming and been through 3 engine builds, been ported etc too, just got weak. Ans ive stripped it as i dont wanna spend any more money on it, concentraing on the red gti now tbh, just spent over 2k on it over the last few months so gonna progress with that, :)

and you werent being brave you was being a penis!

How is researching and fitting NOS and trying something nobody else has (and it working) being a penis?
If your going by that train of thought then somebody like Sam/Ed/Liam are being penis's to for thing's they are achieving/trying!?

Ok, but after the 'it runs fine' comment and then chunkys mechanic checkin the car over and finding out the AFRs are ALL OVER THE PLACE I dont think any advice you give will be accepted.

Not surprising, going from a 1800cc highport, to running a 2000cc lowport. Totally different flow and fueling.

What about UK compared to JDM?

I know its the mother of all fuckups...but Im assuming that as with stu-es motor Jim engine/loom into UK car it worked.....so.Im assuming it will work the opposite way but tbh who knows....

TBH Chunk, its not going to be hard to get it wired up. The SR series of engine and Nissan interior looms are so simple it would only take a morning to trace and test all the wires on the loom connector plugs. It really is childs play.

Hey i said it would run fine, not perfect, not fantastically, i said fine, fine to get him home, to get it sorted, which he has, he drove it home, his afrs are high, of he winds his for oit and puts a std pump on that will solve that for the time being untill his got it all sorted.

Even so, it's not fine. And to think it would be fine shows ignorance. Make the effort, do it right first time.

My original ECU wasn't put in due to me not having time or enough evident knowledge to get the NATS sorted, also as i had a phase 1 gti the small plug which controls the fuel pump and other bits was lacking 3 cables and needed the 5 lower pin plug from a UK or jdm loom...as the jdm loom was the only one available at the time it was really trial and error on both our parts.....we ASSUMED it would work...it kind of did as the car runs but its dangerous and needs resolving so the NATS being removed, phase 2 gti engine loom and a little more time will hopefully sort the issues.....

no not amazed liam, honesty looks like something he lacks, at least chunky says he wasnt sure etc, but for some one who has built what he did before chunk had it, would of thought he'd know alittle more, or just couldnt be bothered but lack of honesty if you ask me
