Coilovers

I assume it's because the locking rings rely on friction to lock together so any grease between them may cause them to come loose with vibration.
 
ok thats fair enough, I use this spray glue at college - its only for paper so wouldnt be thick enough to hold the lockrings or anything but maybe once setup you could just use it as like a... spray on film to protect them from rusting? there must be similar products available? often not for the right purpose.
