ha ha i've seen that crap on ebay! I knew someone who tried fitting a hairdryer to his intake and achieved an extra 35 bhp ( that is a vicious lie but if people are dumb enough to try it they are dumb enough to believe it) but he did try nonetheless!!

if you think of it, an electric turbo,... no way that thing can possibly get more air in the engine than the engine sucks in at full throttle, it only blocks the airflow.

Nah mate, mines wicked. If you run an extra belt off the alternator, works like a dream. I gained 10 torques and 20 horses but I think that's because my plugs were spitting

the cheap ones on ebay are shit end of, the bloke who was saying about making his own one would work but you need to use good quality parts, even if you could get the right parts cheap they would fail so quickly.

Hi.just saying hello to everyone I'm a new member looking for some info on 04 almera 1.5se namely immobiliser battery went flat and when tried to start it again with charged battery it wouldn't start engine turns over ok but I notice cooling fan comes on with ignition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

But.....
First of all I was surprised by the foul language used by the initial poster.
Secondly, discussion/questions about 'chips' from 'newbies' is not stupid as many cars are easily chipped to improve performance.

That is not what this thread was about. 15 years ago when it was posted eBay was full of cheap resistor 'chips' which claimed to increase power.
