For anyone wanting an outer cv joint for an almera gti...

anything wrong with your current ones?

theres no guarantee the item you get is actually pictured.
 
the shaftec one of mine has see around 8000 miles with a couple trackdays and general fairly hard driving; showing no signs of spinning on the driveshaft as of yet

After measuring up these against my spare GTI CV it appears that they will not fit.

i will get the pic of the comparison up shortly but as it stands:

Main Reason:
  • after asking the seller, he replied that the ID on the teeth Is 17.5mm, abd between the teeth is 21.5mm. this is smaller than the GTI shaft (but i cannot remember what the measurement was so will confirm this when i get the pic up.
Sub Reason:
  • the length from the end of the outer splines to the bearing face was longer on the GTI CV by around 2/3mm. how much of an issue this will cause i am not sure of as i do not know if will affect it much.

I will be speaking to these guys shortly to see if they can supply me the part needed and also give me measurements etc.
 
pussys i can get for you cv's but you have to wait little bit i took last 5 from that place where im buying they need to order them i fit to my gti everything ok after 2000km and if you have problems with cv's why you dont swap with sunny gti drivshafts and one more question how much nissan charge for cv's at main dealer in UK

First off if you actually read through what i had posted you would have seen we are still exploring options. this does not mean that we have disregarded what you have said previously. if you can provide proof of what you have with supplier/producer etc and also proof that sunny gti shafts work and the CV's that support them fit into N15 GTI hubs?
 
my mate couldn't get cv's as everybody 1year ago and he swap sunny gti driveshafts picture posible i ask him about that hubs but im more than sure must be from sunny becouse i have my mate n15 gti hubs for spares
 
Shaftec were looking so promising but I wouldn't trust it myself. I will put full details up tomorrow but for now I will say were the spline dimensions of a Nissan cv is 26.5mm, the shaftec is 27mm

Looks like a refurb solution everyone
