Headlight Cluster

just bought a genuine lamp from eBay UNUSED for £55. They are out there.
Liam are you saying replace the wires in the lamp as shown (blurred)? HOW THE HELL without splitting open the lamp do you do that?
I was going to upgrade to xenon ballast lamps? £65 on eBay.
Not strictly legal but with upto 80 miles A-road commute across Devons windy lanes I need to be able to see....
What are those DRL's like?

I assumed you would have to split them.
Hmmm, not sure about doing that, perhaps i'll try the one with the broken bracket 1st. The logic works out but i'm not sure a few amps will make a difference?
I followed an old thread about an n16 running xenon ballasts & they seemed ok & the guy on eBay 'assures me' they will be fine with projector lamps but i'd like to speak to a P2 n16 owner that has ideally... #enginefire is not what I want...

I have an aftermarket HID kit, and while it's better, It's still not as good as other car's reflector halogen lights. Nissan/Hella really fucked up.

Now the HID kit I have being that it only cost £30 might be the reason why it's still not great. But I'm willing to try opening up my lights and doing the wiring to try, both with the HID kit and halogen Osram bulbs.

You say you can't see it making much of a difference but Liam has already come on here and told us that it does. Why you no trust?!

I havent doubled up the wiring because i used my spare set of non-genuine light units. 10x better output and a much better beam.

You could run the extra wiring straight fron the connectors and into the light unit, or yes you will need to open them up.

Low bake in oven to soften the glue.

Wont fit in my oven :( So very hot bath it is.

Buy direct from Depo Liam? I think I might just buy same as you in case there are more differences.

I checked the photos in the ebay item I linked to, and there is Depo on the lenses. So hopefully the ones I have ordered are too.

Iv'e had 4300k hid's in mine the 3 year's iv'e had my n16 tried all osram upgrades still shocking :/ see how much im paid payday and order a pair of depo headlight's . So it look's like depi are the better buy then?! Did think about phase 1 reflector headlight's just thinking about wiring it's not my strong point lol

Asking questions that have been answered again lol. Yes the Depo ones that Liam bought are great.

As for the wiring if you want to use phase 1 lights it's just a case of joining wires. You will only need the phase 1 connectors for each unit.

I have 4600k HIDs. Mad Maru has 6000k and I think his are a little brighter.

Opp's sorry long day been up since 5.30 13 hour day's melt my brain lol
Should be able to do phase 1 head light swap then must remember to get the plug for each light from the breaker's i'll get home a think i forgot something ! Think 6000k is a little bit too blue like to try keep them oe look if i can :)

Same for me, I prefer the OEM HID look which I heard is around 4600k. I find the blue aftermarket HIDs so obvious and tacky.

Im not sure how you would go about fitting phase 1 lights are they have a 3 bolt on the outer edge, where the indicator clips in.

My Depo with nightbreaker+ are better than my old p1 lights.

Ahh never noticed the extra boly hole never had a good look :/ im not a fan off hid's that are too blue either the local corsa/clio lot must have 8000k there really dark blue bet they can't see much!
