yeap afr readout also ties into the tps so bleeps and alarms if the engine suddenly leans out under load. Intake mani cost 60 quid plus 160 quid delivery :O lets see how stage one pans out. I could well be starting th build end of nxt month

ill have a searcho for that thread, do i need the numbers stamped on the bottom of the block or just the 2 rows stamped on teh counterweight?

Cant get the engine bored until i get some new circlips as my pistons never came with any :( its close though :)

Ill be running current GA16 at drag strip in september though, will be more fun that way, clsoer competition, more skill :D plus would be nice to see if i can beat my own time
 
you need both dude..

for the mains you need the 5 numbers on the crank and the 5 numbers on the block you add them both together and that makes the bearing grade you need..
 
So i need the numbers off your crank and the numbers off my block, not your block?

This still fine to do using a crank from a different engine, dont need it regrinding do i?

11111/2222 block

01111/1000 crank
 
No regrind needed unless there's bad wear on the block or crank mate.. Is there any wear on the block?
Just buy the right grade bearings and slap em in :)

im slowly understanding lol

the crank isnt worn, looks immaculate unliek urs ner ner lol but its the fact im using a different crank with different stamped marks to the original crank why i thought id ask teh question

If the crank's mint don't worry about it, I'm sure Raceworx will shed a bit more light on the matter.
Bottom line is, you gotta get this mother fcuker bored and built ASAP!! :)

lol you know im messing, the pittin on yours hadnt affected the bearings anyway

patience dude, i just had to get that inlet manifold

its not far away now, everything should be ordered by end of july and on its way :D
 
GTi ant roll bar polyed and fitted, new drop links polyed and fitted.

Airbag lights still flashing and MOT on tuesday. . . black tape on the back of the dial = WIN :D

Also found someone to take 20k off the gti clocks so they will be set to the sri clocks :)
 
got some new pics but aint been near my home computer for ages to upload em.

At the mo im saving and searching for a rust free bs7 3 door, needle in hay stack :(
 
as i dont want a gti because i wouldnt want to pull the sr20 out for the ga17 im looking for a base model or anything below gti, so upto 1500 should net me a nice one.

still gotta fit the new doors and sideskirts lol, go work in dark, home in dark, work at wkends, all about the a to b running at the mo thought, set fuel reg back to 3 bar and damn its flat as a pancake lol
