So after the fiasco of a tiny hole on the drivers side, i thought id best look at the browny/orangey metal on the floor on the passenger side....

Then it was time to extend the life of this GTi seeing as soo many get scrapped for less..

I have to respect you for welding that sill up...if it was me, i would have said "fuck the shit heap" stripped and scrapped it.

Fair play, seriously!
 
Well i looked at after pulling the rust out by hand amd thought, 'if i reshell, it will cost me 300-400 and take 1-2 days, or i could just repair this with no outlay in 6hours and its rust free (almost).'

Just wasnt worth the effort of stripping, scrapping and building another car for half a sill.
 
Having been in this car and driven it I can confirm it is awesome.

Ideal ring weapon......... take from that what you will.
 
Thanks mate :) yeah looks great when its still covered in water haha. Looks shit now its dry.

Ive order one of those cheap gopros to see what theyre like so ill be doing a test next week, probably in a tunnel!
