205/45 on 8J ET13 (with 20mm spacer that will be removed in a couple of weeks to make it ET33).

It's a bit stretchy for my liking, but needs must. I will put wider tyres on when I can remove the spacer.

Was meaning from the rear down the side of the car to see where they sit, as with the pics you've posted and specs they sit out a good bit farther than mine, and mine catch the bumper mounts, even after cutting them down to be as small as possible and still work. Yeah stretch isn't to my taste either but needs must

The wheel width and stretch help keep the tyres clear. I have modified the arch liner and done the same as you to the mount :-) As I say though its temporary and will sit at ET33 in future which will be fine.

thats some width there.

i had issues running 225/40-18s on my 18x7.5 +42 cr kai's.

have you considered running a 215/45-17 tyre?
 
Yup no doubt. Tyre width, offset and wheel width are key. 18s also won't help esp. With that width and profile.

Yes I've considered 215 but as i say i will put on a wider tyre when i can remove the 20mm spacer converter. For now i have to have 205 and stretch to fit ok :-)

stupid me. I didnt read that until after i posted.

im running 215/35-18 at the moment. going to try 215/40-18 when i replace the current tyres(however selection of tyres seems alot more reduced)
 
Goddamn I have to admire your attention to detail Ed. I'm just hoping to get some spare time between end of work today and setting off for JAE tomorrow afternoon to drag the car to the jetwash!
