N16 DCi-R

Because our parts guys are generally monkeys. But also deal databases seem to only show native parts. However that was with Liam's Nissan he phoned at the weekend. I had no trouble with ordering the bonnet with just the part number from my Nissan. I heard a rumour that someone who used to work there and modified Pulsars actually set something up to allow import parts to be ordered.

As most will know or have guessed by now, I got the bumpers and grille finished and painted up just in time for JAE! So very pleased with the results :)

We have the same problem here with alot of the Nissan parts interpreters. My local dealership won't order import parts period.
Luckily the next closest dealership has an amazing parts guy who is happy to help with anything. Providing part numbers etc. I stumbled across him when I was trying to sort out the nismo LSD into the qg box.

I think its more a fact the part number is only for australia (IE ended in AU) so it doesn't show up on our parts systems as the bonnet part number didnt end in AU and they could give me a price on that. But yes it could well be just that dealership so might be worth trying another.

Fair enough. I had a similar experience when trying to order a p11-144 crown wheel.

If you need help sourcing an Au spec vin let me know and I'll dig one up. (those skirts are the same between s1/2 if I recall correctly)

The intercooler is not centre, that's due to the hoses limiting where it could go from the previous setup. New hoses are on order already to rectify this.

The grille needs to have a fixing point added underneath to the bumper as it is slightly skewed and only fixed at the moment top left and right.

Good eye ;)

Yup from X Racing. It's not 100%, as the build itself is not quite straight but it's thin enough to flex into the right position. My old one on the grey car was as well I learnt recently so that explains why I had such trouble getting it to line up thus ended up blending it in.

Thanks VSpec. Yup, my 9th set of wheels now lol hopefully the last!

i do have a good eye to detail. hence why most panel/paint shops seem to hate me.

Lol I am exactly the same and they hate me too :D

"grill/bonnet look out of alignment aswell ;)"

Again all part of the fixing points. When sorted it should all line up fine. At least it looks like when it move it into position by hand.

yeah, my x racing grill was far from perfect. the bottom side of the top bar that runs under the bonnet isnt straight. looks as tho it came out of the mold that way.

I have the other style grille from Depo which is ABS and is a spot on fit. It uses the OEM mounts into the bumper valance so fixes up with 4 points. I think I prefer the open mouth x-racing design though so not sure what to do with the other grille.

I would've had it off you but me likes the open mouth too!
