N16 SR20DE

i was just wondering why the offset and using the plates as a mount was the only thing I could think of

I think half the battle with welding is getting the machine set for the material your welding, but it looks like you've found the knack as you've created a nice fillet

....phone....

Yeah i wanted to use existing holes for ease, just meant having it offset.

That basically it bud, after a litle bit i got the setting tweeked but the other half of the battle is using gasless, cant really see the weld pool as its coated in slag. Need to get an adjustable mask really as the one ive got is pretty dark!

Time to fit the FPR.

Seems a little better in the midrange with the FPR, still not spot on though.

What have you set the fuel pressure to with the vac hose off?

I love that heatshield/air box setup, looks very well done.

VAC hose off I set it to 3.5ish. The oil level sits around there so its not 100% accurate. Im going to give a good drive out tonight and see how it fairs, then ill adjust in small increment either way to find what works best. I may get another set of injectors then get them cleaned and fitted to make sure its not a dodgy one as mine are a bit noisey.

I was at japfest this year and I could an hear an sr20 in the distance. I saw it was your car on the dyno...it looked very tidy!

Ah leem! Just read through your last few pages. Man your motors looking great!

Your putting alot of time into it and its paying off! Looks like your taking your time with everything.

Good job man! Keep up the good work!

my fuel economy actually improved with the turbo conversion ;)

I suppose thats to go with the inflated torque you have too?

Turbo = no for atleast the next 12 months.

Fitted an HRC 255lph fuel pump yesterday. Only problem being fuel starvation if the tank has less than 1/4 in and you hoon it round the bends. I'll be getting some tank foam in the next few months to hopefully cure this. Also the FPR gauge has died, so a new one of them in on the cards as I cant check the pressure with the new pump fitted.

Nope, the foam is to stop teh fuel sloshing around when the level is low. The cup didnt hold enough fuel for the new pump so i've had to drill a couple of holes to allow more flow, the downside being the fuel drains quicker when being lairy. A 10cm layer of foam on the bottom of the tank should suffice.
