N16 SR20DE

Sorry mate. I thorough you had a phase 1. The phase 1's that I know of had a return line. On my phase 2 I had to route a return line. When you called me about this matter it never helped as i thought you had a return line. Glad you got your problem solved

Yeah it has a return line, but as standard it runs down the side of the casing and 'flows by' the inlet so not all of the return fuel is re-circulated. Now its sat inside the casing the return fuel can be pumped back round straight away. This is keeping the case full enough without the need for another inlet hole.

So after yet more problems with the fuelling.... GRRRR...

The second is when driving in 4th gear throttle wide open. You can hear the fuel cutting and surging ect.

I was getting a little fed up, so out came the pump again. The pipe had kinked slightly which was restricting the flow, so I replaced it with a piece about 30cm long and looped it round inside the pump casing so the bends are nice a wide. Seems spot on now and with the vac hose off the pressure was at 4.2 bar with the new pump as opposed to 3.5 when the old one was in.

Ive now wound the pressure back down to 3.7 and jesus wept, the difference is amazing. The flat spot around 3.5k has been reduced greatly and 5k+ pulls so much harder.

Oh and sorry for the shit camera phone videos.

thats an awesome car m8, ive read through your build and i've now decided to buy an n16, i will eventually put the sr20 in it .

So time to get some new fanny.

Went on alright after drilling the stud holes out to 12mm. Also had to grind off a bit on the back of the underbrace as the flexi was resting on it. Doesn't really matter as ill get the flexi moved further back when I get the downpipe replaced.

Sounds completely different now, almost like a boxer engine.

Nom.

I didnt measure, but its better than the ebay spesh one on before it.

Its the Powerland mate. I know the dent is nasty, but I cant knock it out at the moment as the outlet tilts upwards so cant get my bar is far enough. Shall have another go when the outlet is cut off next month for modding.

Pretty pointless update but new battery fitted, all bolted down so no more rolling around the boot. Also fitted ultrasonically cleaned injectors. A definite improvement pulls harder throughout the revs, id highly recommend it.

Also found out that my TD ProRace1.2's are staggered offset. Tried swapping wheels front to back to even out the tyre wear, found that with the back wheels on the front the calipers are touching the spokes.
